When I showed up to teach yoga class at the Redan Recreation Center, I had forgotten that it was the first week of kids camp. To say it was a bit noisy is an understatement. I knew there was no way I would be able to conduct a yoga class amongst the excitement of the children that school was out and summer was beginning. My senior yoga students looked at me with that "So what now" look on their face, holding their yoga mats and ready for their session. It happened to be a beautiful day so I suggested we have our class outdoors near the lake. It turned out to be one of the best classes we have had at that location and the beginning of occasionally doing yoga outdoors. This time when standing in Mountain Pose or (Tadasana) and I said to plant your feet firmly into the earth...that's exactly what I meant.
